A. Each household may apply for community water services. Services shall be approved by the Wiyot Tribal Council.

B. Each serviced household shall maintain proper operation from main waterline (four-inch mainline) to household.

C. It is the responsibility of the Wiyot Tribe Water Supply to see that the membership receives adequate drinking water.

D. All service waterlines from watermain to household shall be underground. It is the responsibility of the household to place these waterlines underground.

E. There shall be a main shut-off valve installed from four-inch mainline to each household.

F. Each household who uses community water shall pay one month in advance. The rate shall be the sum of $1.50 per person up to five people or the maximum sum per household shall not exceed $7.50.

G. On April 8, 1980, the Wiyot Tribal Council made a motion to serve senior citizens with free water, starting as of May 5, 1980. Recognized senior citizens shall be 62 years of age or over, including individuals receiving S.S. Disability or Gold Checks.

H. Monthly payment shall be on the fifth day of each month.

I. Monthly payments shall be paid/made to the Secretary or Treasurer or as otherwise directed by the Wiyot Tribal Council.

J. If household discontinues to use community water, it shall be the responsibility of such household to notify member(s) of the Tribal Council prior to disuse.

K. Household will be responsible for shutting off all household water valves prior to moving.

L. If for any reason a household should become unoccupied for a minimum of two weeks, with prior notification to member(s) of the Tribal Council, credits will be granted in following months.

M. Household unpaid water bills that extend beyond two months will be faced with water shutoff.

N. Turning community household water on that was shut off due to unpaid water bills shall be paid in the amount of two months in advance only if previous bill is not paid in full. [Adopted 1/22/87.]
