A. No Tribal Council member or other Tribal official shall use his or her office for purposes which give the appearance of being motivated by personal gain or interest, direct or indirect, personally or through a member of his/her immediate family or an individual living in the same household.

B. No Tribal Council member or other Tribal official may vote on or participate in the consideration of any matter in which he or she has a conflict of interest.

C. No Tribal Council member or other Tribal official may vote on or participate in the consideration of any matter involving a member of his/her immediate family.

D. No Tribal Council member or other Tribal official shall use his or her office for purposes that give the appearance of being motivated by private or financial gain or interest, direct or indirect, personally or through a member of his/her immediate family.

E. Each Tribal Council member or other Tribal official must disclose any known possible conflict of interest in any matter that comes up for consideration, detailing the nature of the possible conflict to the Tribal Council. If it is determined by either the member himself/herself or by the Tribal Council that a Tribal Council member or Tribal official has a conflict of interest, that Tribal Council member or Tribal official must refrain from participating in the discussion, consideration, and decisionmaking on the specific matter in which the Council member has the conflict.
