A. Tribal Council members and other Tribal officials must set good examples for Tribal members by obeying all Tribal and other applicable laws

B. No Tribal member shall serve on the Tribal Council after having been convicted of a felony or other serious offense under Tribal, state or federal law, or convicted of a crime involving honesty or moral turpitude.

C. For purposes of this section, a felony or crime involving honesty or moral turpitude does not include violating laws while acting in a manner to protect Tribal sovereignty or Tribal rights. [Adopted 10/11 § 7.]
