A. Effective Date. The ordinance codified in this chapter shall take effect on the date on which it is approved by a majority vote of the Tribal Council at a duly scheduled Tribal Council meeting.

B. Amendment. This chapter may be amended by a majority vote of the Tribal Council at a duly scheduled Tribal Council meeting.

C. Governing Law – Sovereignty. All rights and liabilities associated with this chapter shall be construed and enforced according to the laws of the Tribe and applicable federal law. Nothing herein shall make applicable to the Tribe any laws or regulations which are otherwise inapplicable. Nothing herein shall be construed to waive the sovereign immunity of the Tribe, the Tribal Council, officers, employees or agents of the Tribe. [Ord. 17-22, approved 3/14/22.]
